Sierra Club Careers
Conservation Training Internship:
San Francisco, CA National Headquarters
The Sierra Club Conservation Department directs our national priority campaigns and programs including the Climate Recovery Partnerships. We are in the midst of a major roll-out of our climate work and can use help in designing the systems and processes that are needed to coordinate across the country as well as to engage volunteers and activists at all levels.
If you are a passion for organizational development work in the areas of strategic planning, leadership development, team design and development, coaching and mentoring, and training design, this is an internship for you. Your skills will be engaged as an architect and builder of a program to engage thousands of leaders and volunteers in our work across the country.
We are particularly interested in candidates for this internship that are currently working to get an MBA or a degree in nonprofit management, organizational development and/or adult education.
We are also looking for skills in working in writing, editing, producing documents, online collaborative tools, web design and excel dashboards and data analysis.
Internships are available during the Summer, Fall and Spring terms. Deadlines are as follows:
- Fall Application Period: August 15 - September 30
- Spring Application Period: November 15-January 10
- Summer Application Period: April 1 to May 15
A minimum 20 hours is required to be scheduled at your discretion, although it would best if you could work regular full days rather than half days. We are sorry but due to funding changes, this is now an unfunded internship. Two internship positions available at this time. We are willing to provide any documentation necessary to help students get credit.
