Words for Wilderness
Through the Words for Wilderness Around the World project, the Sierra Club provides an opportunity for you to contribute fifty words of your thoughts and experiences about nature and wilderness. Contributions may be made online or at the Club's historic LeConte Memorial Lodge in Yosemite Valley.
Sierra Club Inner City Outings
Inner City Outings (ICO) is a community outreach program of the Sierra Club that provides low-income, inner city youth with trips to wilderness.
Sierra Student Coalition (SSC)
The purpose of the Sierra Student Coalition is to help students become the most effective, responsible activists they can be, by tailoring and amending the resources of the Sierra Club to fit their needs.
John Muir Education Project
The Sierra Club Environmental Education Committee operates the John Muir Education Project with its K-12 John Muir Day Study Guide and the John Muir Youth Award Program. Students working on History Day or other projects will find the John Muir Exhibit website invaluable.
LeConte Memorial Lodge
The Sierra Club has operated LeConte Memorial Lodge in Yosemite valley since 1904, presenting and promoting the conservation ethic through public programs, educational displays and a library.
