Who?
-
The Muir Ranger Program is available only to children
between the ages of 8 and 12.

Time?
-
The Muir Ranger Program is held on selected Saturdays
from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

No Nos?
-
No food, pets, radios, cassette players, toys, younger
brothers or sisters or parents. Parents can visit the
site, but children are the participants for the Muir
Ranger Program.

Clothes?
-
Warm jacket, raincoat and boots in stormy weather.
Casual old clothes for clear, warm weather. The Muir
Ranger Program will be held rain or shine.

Awards?
-
An official National Park Service Certificate will be
awarded after three units are completed. Parents are
invited to watch certificates being awarded at the end
of unit III at the Muir House.

Donations?
-
A donation of $1.00 is appreciated for each day of the program.

Reservations?
-
Reservations are required due to limited space.
Early reservations are recommended.

Waivers?
-
A waiver must be signed by the parent and returned to
us before a child can begin the program.

What is the Muir Ranger Program?
-
The Muir Ranger Program is designed to let children
learn about and experience a natural environment, gain
knowledge about the conservation of natural resources,
and become familiar with the famous naturalist and
father of America's National Parks, John Muir.
