April 1998, Volume 5, Number 3     FROM THE EDITOR     The Planet, like the Sierra Club’s conservation campaigns, is a work in progress. Our goal is to tell the story of Club activism and to inform, inspire and empower. There’s no one way to do that.  We’re trying new approaches in 1998, our fifth year of publication. Look for:  victory, a story of a Club win (see Club Thwarts Exxon ). tools, a “how-to” you can use (see Vying for Volunteers). one-minute activist, an easy way to make a difference We’ll also include a scorecard of pending environmental legislation, Club positions and potential action.
