A Bad Day for Big Chicken

Lorraine Jackson of the Circle of Leaders (left) gets a hug from Maryland Sierra Club activist Bonnie Bick at the conclusion of a day-long joint effort by farmers, Sierra Club members and African-Americans, registering 1,000 new voters on Maryland's lower Eastern Shore. This alliance is attempting to wrest political control away from the giant poultry corporations, known as "Big Chicken."
