ELECTIONS 2001

It's time for Sierra Club members to elect five new representatives to three-year terms on the Club's Volunteer Board of Directors. The ballot will also include two policy questions, one on whether to advocate ending all commercial livestock grazing on all federal publicly owned lands, the other on whether to emphasize population stabilization in all Club sprawl materials and programs. Return your completed ballot, which should arrive in your mailbox in March, by noon eastern daylight time on April 25-or follow its instructions on how to vote online.

For more information, check your chapter or group newsletter, or log on to the club's website after March 4. You can also ask the candidiates quesions on an electronic discussion list. Subscribe to this list by sending a message to listguard@lists.sierraclub.org. In the subject line, enter only your eight-digit Sierra Club membership number. In the message area, type sub bod-candidates-forum your firstname your lastname. Sierra will report the election results in the July/August issue.
