John Muir Quarter Sand Sculpture

Corn Maze in 2006 at Histtoric Cobb Farm in Fresno California

This John Muir Quarter was created by Jo Moulin (left) and Duncan Smeed right) during the annual John Muir Birthplace Sand Castle Competition in July, 2009. Garrett Burke (center), the designer of the California Quarter, happened to be visiting the John Muir Birthplace in Dunbar, Scotland during the time of the competition, and is seen here admiring the sand sculpture created by the two Scottish Muir enthusiasts.

Note: this article incorrectly states that Burke helped create the sand sculpture above, but everyone involves affirms the sand sculpture was solely the creation of Jo Moulin and Duncan Smeed.
