  • Daniel Muir was John Muir's father. He was born on October 6, 1885 in Manchester, England. He married the woman who would become John Muir's mother, Ann Gilrye in 1833 in Dunbar, Scotland. He died on October 6, 1885 in Kansas City, Missouri, U.S.A..

  • Daniel was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in 1885 in Kansas City, Missouri. A new headstone was installed in 2004. See Daniel Muir Gravesite.
