John Muir Christmas Tree Ornament
White House Christmas Tree, 2007

The theme of the 2007 Christmas Season at the White House is Holiday
in the National Parks.
Among other decorations at the White House using hte National Parks theme,
the Blue Room hosts the official White House Christmas tree.
The tree is decorated with 347 ornaments hand-created by artists whose designs
represent America's national parks, memorials, seashores, historic sites
and monuments.
The ornament displayed here was creaed by Susan Barry to represent the John
Muir National Historic Site. The image is similar to Barry's John Muir
portrait, Muir's Dream.
