Bevil John Muir 1998 First Day Cover

Bevil John Muir 1998 First Day Cover

Text reads:

Celebrate The Century
1900s

"After years of struggling to defend Yosemite and other natural sights, John Muir came to be known as the 'Father of our National Parks'. A self taught naturalist, he was also an inventor, expert fruit-grower and talented writer. But what he liked best was to go 'over the fence' with nothing but a blanket and a little bread for a few weeks of lonely, happy adventure in the wilderness.
