Topping the list of bad bills is S. 967 (Sens. Frank Murkowski and Ted Stevens, R), which would amend the Alaska National Interest Lands Conservation Act of 1980 through a mass of damaging anti-environmental provisions.
Please ask your own legislators to do all they can to safeguard our national heritage and protect Alaska from attempts to degrade national parks, forests and wildlife refuges through privatization, road construction, inappropriate commercial activities or other damaging uses.
