Canada Lynx

The Canadian lynx's success in hunting its main prey, the snowshoe hare, is directly correlated to the amount of snow cover. Both animals are adapted to heavy snow cover, therefore higher temperatures make it more difficult to hunt. Less snow also means increased competition for the lynx, as animals usually excluded from deep snow are able to flourish. Its main predator, the mountain lion, is able to hunt longer as well.
