Wolverines

Wolverines thrive in areas of heavy snow cover and seek elevated areas during the summer to stay cool, but a warming climate would make such habitat more difficult to find. Reduced snow cover would be detrimental, as wolverines prefer to dig their dens in deep snow to give birth and raise young. Shortened winters and less spring snow would also lower survival rates of newborn wolverines.
