Step 12: The corners where the front hem, the side seams, and the edge of the flap meet can be a bit messy. Extra material may poke out the sides when you close the flap. One solution is to bunch the material together at these spots and stitch a pleat, which I did by hand. This will narrow the opening of your bag slightly, so another option is to use snaps.
