Step 3: In the center of each piece of kitchenware, drill a hole that is large enough for the lamp rod to fit through snugly. Make sure that you have the right bits for the material you are drilling: a Dremel with a tile bit works well on ceramic; an electric drill with a cobalt drill bit will pierce metal. Start slowly and gently and don’t forget to wear goggles and gloves.
