Step 6: Line up the front seam of the jacket with the back seam and pin the bottom shut. Chalk out the edges of the pockets so you know where they are. Measure an inch or two from each side of the jacket and chalk a straight line; pin and sew. Cut off the excess material from the side seams, leaving enough material to iron and sew flat like you did with the center seam (you might need to unpin the bottom of the bag a bit to do this).
