While in years past we used to sponsor an Intenet Message Board / Forum, and a Listerv, these tools have become antiquated and little used. Accordingly for interactive particpation in the world of John Muir and his legacy, we recommend the John Muir Fans Facebook Group.

  • John Muir Global Network -A portal to celebrating and encouraging environmental protection through the inspiring life of John Muir, the founder of the worldwide conservation movement. Includes resources keyed to varied locations around the world and in the U.S.A., conference archives, and other unique items.
  • Primary Sources for John Muir's writings - Browse or Search online - This guide provides Finding Aids for the University of the Pacific Holt-Atherton Library Special Collections and finding primary sources of John Muir's writings.
  • "John Muir Exhibit", John Muir Education Project, Sierra Club California (hosted on the Sierra Club's Web server). by Harold W. Wood, Jr. ( harold.wood@sierraclub.org ).
    The John Muir Exhibit - online since 1994 - is a large collection of resources pertaining to John Muir, including many of Muir's writings, biographical materials, photos, Educator's Guide to John Muir Day, guides to John Muir National Historic Site and other geographic locations important to Muir, information about the John Muir Memorial Association, the John Muir Center at University of the Pacific, and many other items, including this annotated bibliography.
